Manchester United's £35m Sergio Ramos bid rejected

Manchester United have reportedly had a £35m bid for Sergio Ramos rejected by Real Madrid.

Madrid informed Ramos of their decision when chief executive Jose Angel Sanchez met the player and his representatives for summit talks at the club's Valdebebas training headquarters.

according to Daily Mail Ramos, 29, left for a holiday telling the club that he wants his future resolved by the time the squad meet on July 10 before Real's tour to Australia and China.

Spanish World Cup winner Ramos is thought to earn around £4m-a-year in wages at the Bernabeu, although if a switch is to go through then the same report claims that the Red Devils will have to offer improved terms of £6.5m.
Meanwhile, De Gea intensified speculation that he could be on his way out of Old Trafford this summer by putting his Altrincham house up for sale.
